The Coca-Cola Company

Introduction

Zack
This is Zack Fuss, an investor at Irenic Capital. And today, we're breaking down The Coca-Cola Company. Coke began in 1886 and now offers a wide-ranging portfolio, including its name, say, Coca-Cola, but including sparkling water, sports drinks, coffee, teas and juices. The company's beverage products are made available to consumers throughout the world through the company's carefully constructed network of independent bottling partners, distributors, wholesalers and retailers.

On May 8, 1886, Dr. John Pemberton brought this perfected syrup to Jacobs’ pharmacy in Downtown Atlanta where the first glass of Coca-Cola was poured for $0.05 a glass. Today, more than 1.9 billion servings per day of Coca-Cola are served worldwide. To break down Coca-Cola, I'm joined by Freddie Lait, Founder and Managing Partner at Latitude Investment Management.
