Introduction

Eric
This is Eric Golden, and my guest today is Jared Grey. Jared was recently elected Head Chef of SushiSwap, one of the most recognized decentralized exchanges in crypto. We discuss the pros and cons of a community-led governance structure, how and why Jared decided to campaign for the CEO-type role and the opportunities to improve SushiSwap's structure over the long term. Please enjoy this conversation with Jared Grey. Today, I'm very excited to record. I think the first podcast with Jared Grey since his announcement of appointment to Head Chef of SushiSwap.

Jared's Background & DEX Primer

Eric
Jared, thank you for joining me today.

Jared
Thanks for having me, Eric.

Eric
I really appreciate the time. So the news of your arrival was brought with much fanfare, but to say it was a tumultuous week for you is probably the biggest understatement. So let's just talk about the horse in the room here. A former colleague had some pretty big accusations against you, both professionally about your prior work experience, and then a salacious comment about you personally. I just thought it would be good to start there to let you address the crowd, and then we'll take it from there.
