Spilling the Secrets of Our Launch

Matt Reustle and Dom Cooke are CEO and Head of Content at Colossus. We cover the launch process for Making Media, what we've learned from previous launches, and why Jimmy Chin is a bucket list guest for the show.

Scribe. Scribe is the presenting sponsor of this episode of Making Media and the magic behind the Colossus transcripts. One of the best decisions we made at Colossus was transcribing all of our audio into a searchable transcript library. We had been using another provide up until the summer of 2022 but we were constantly having issues with the accuracy if our audio was just the slightest bit impaired. Whether it's training sessions, internal Q&As, or for media purposes, the value of transcripts is huge. And we are not alone. Scribe is the transcription service that powers all of S&P Global - like CapIQ - and the client list includes our friends at Tegus. Spilling the Secrets of Our Launch

Introduction

Matt
Welcome back to Making Media. The first two episodes have been released. We got the trailer out last Friday. We're going to go through the dirty truths of everything that went into that launch, me and Dom will be breaking it down, how we got here, what we did right, what we did wrong, some lessons, it's still early days, but I wanted to ask you, how does it feel to be the #3 podcast in entrepreneurship?

Dom
Is that true?

Matt
In Bahrain. We are the #3 podcast on entrepreneurship in Bahrain. The people know.

Dom
I will take that. And to answer the question, it feels great. It couldn't feel better. I'll be honest, we'll get into this, but the launch week was tiring. I think I've got some PTSD from it. There are a few reasons that go into that. But now to have our products out in the open air, people listening to it. I can see the count going up every second-ish. Yes, it feels great. How about you? How do you feel about it?
