Our guest today is Sebastian Mejia. This conversation really meant a lot to us as Sebastian's become a close friend and he's just one of the most compelling founder operators we've ever come across. He's someone who combines intellectual range with the emotional depth that we would all expect from a passionate Colombian.
Sebastian co-founded Rappi, the on-demand delivery platform that has become one of Latin America's most influential tech companies. And to understand the force behind that scale, you really have to rewind to the early chapters of his life. Growing up in Cali, Colombia, having entrepreneurial parents, always having a deep curiosity about the world, and then later experiencing the heartbreak of losing his father while he was still in school in Spain.
That loss became a turning point, one that truly catalyzed a sense of agency that now defines how Sebastian moves about the world. In this episode, we talk about things like resilience, identity. We're going to talk about intuition and building companies with a sense of both urgency and wonder.
