Scribe. Scribe is the presenting sponsor of this episode of Making Media and the magic behind the Colossus transcripts. One of the best decisions we made at Colossus was transcribing all of our audio into a searchable transcript library. We had been using another provider up until the summer of 2022 but we were constantly having issues with accuracy if our audio was just the slightest bit impaired. Whether it's training sessions, internal Q&As, or for media purposes, the value of transcripts is huge. And we are not alone. Scribe is the transcription service that powers all of S&P Global - like CapIQ - and the client list includes our friends at Tegus. Reflections on Hosting a Podcast

Introduction

Matt
Welcome back to Making Media. We are going inside Colossus today. But for this episode, we gave a microphone to a third family member, Mr. Eric Golden, the host of Colossus' own Web3 Breakdowns. And rather than always speaking on behalf of our hosts, we thought it was a good opportunity to let one of them do the talking themselves. We pitched this idea to Eric as a conversation about the art of interviewing, what's it like to start hosting conversations, how long does it take to get better, how do you measure it.

And we thought this was a little bit different than speaking to somebody who's a true expert in the field, who -- it's their single profession, talk to somebody who similar to us went through this process fairly recently and started from the ground up. So we talk a lot about what's it like to start, how long does it take to get better, how do you measure it, what are the tactics you use. So we go very deep into all the different things that are involved with hosting an interview show and interview podcast.
