Introduction

Rick
Today's teacher is Ravi Gupta, partner of renowned venture firm, Sequoia Capital. This was a fun session, and I can't think of someone better aligned to kick off our JOC journey with. Ravi has had such a fascinating and meandering career on his way to becoming a VC, from consulting at McKinsey to private equity at KKR and then operations at Instacart, where he served as both CFO and COO and now as member of the board of directors.

As you'll hear from him, all along the way, Ravi was gathering and cultivating a unique set of skills that's equipped him to now identify and support some of the most daring founders striving to build the most legendary companies in the world. Beyond investing, we touch on Ravi's other loves, including family, writing, Duke basketball and bringing joy wherever he goes.
