Introduction

Alex
It's hard to actually know where to begin on Steve, honestly, because he's... he certainly, for me, growing up, he overlapped, like, when I fell in love with football, it was, like, in his prime.

So, I mean, he was a guy that, like, you know, he talked about Roger Staubach; like, for me, that's Steve. He's like one of the most iconic quarterbacks of all time. He's an iconic 49er, you know, obviously the franchise I played for. I've talked at length, like, the shadow he left loomed large, you know, even though he and I didn't directly overlap at all, but, like, it was still there.

And this guy's a two-time MVP, three-time Super Bowl champ, highest-paid player in the league for a long, long time, which I, you know, we only say that because I think it carries so much weight and burden. You know, he went to law school while he was playing.
