Introduction
Matt
Welcome back to Making Media. We are joined today by Bryan Curtis Editor-at-Large at The Ringer. If you don't already know Bryan, he writes some excellent columns on ringer.com and he hosts the Press Box, which happens to be the podcast with our favorite podcast episode of this past year. So we gust with Bryan a little bit over that particular podcast episode with Wright Thompson.
And then we also hit on a wide range of media topics, writing versus podcasting, streaming versus linear and searching for those Watercooler Events. We had a ton of fun during this conversation. And if you are in media and aren't yet consuming Bryan's work, we heavily encourage you to do so. Now on to our conversation with Bryan and our debrief that follows.

Hi, Bryan. We are going to talk broader media, we're going to talk about your specific work, but we wanted to start the conversation on The Ringer specifically. And maybe we can start with you specifically at The Ringer. Your title is editor Editor-at-Large. What does that job actually entail?
